Hello! We are Lucas and Meg Comeau, and we are so blessed and so excited to be returning for a new year of Campus Ministry at Saint Augustine’s.
Lucas is returning for his second year of full-time ministry. He has a burning passion for all things philosophical, theological, and scientific, and loves to dialogue on all sorts of aspects of life and the Catholic faith. His more exact loves are his wife and daughter, his family and friends, the pipe, the pint, and the outdoors. Meg is returning for her third year as a part time missionary, after two years serving in Campus Ministry full time. In addition to her love for being Catholic, and her love for her husband and daughter, Meg has a great love for her family and friends, and a fond affinity for books, tea, and anything related to narwhals.
Growing up, both Meg and Lucas were raised with a deep love for the Catholic faith, which they each independently pursued as they both developed their own personal relationship with Christ. Their lives and their faith came together at Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio, where Meg and Lucas met and began dating. It was not long after they discerned together their call to marriage that Meg was given an opportunity to begin serving the Catholic Newman Center in Platteville, and not long after this that Lucas was given the same opportunity. Since joining the Pioneer Catholic team, both Lucas and Meg have found many various ways in which they’ve been called to use their gifts and experiences to help bring life to the Newman Community, from coordinating large group events, to leading small groups, to discipling students one on one.
We are both excited to be continuing our ministry, working to reach out and catechize those we meet and trying to help others advance in the Church’s sacramental life and grow closer to God. We both thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support and prayers for this necessary ministry!
